The multicore cable-runs, to the rear of hall both sides, had the potential for becoming a bit of a nightmare in terms of routing. One side consisted of a solid glass curtain wall. The solution was to affix a series of 75 x 75mm plastic trunking sections to the back side of the curtain pelmet, which ran the whole length of the wall, both sides of the hall. This ultimately carried both the multicore and the DMX.

Barnwood Park Arts College

Pro-Active Audio has recently completed a sound installation at the college, originally commenced by CSS directly. The job entailed establishing 16 channel VDM connectors both side of stage and both sides of back of hall. A fantail and stagebox both to VDM were then supplied to suit.

A wheeled mixer rack was then supplied to house a 16 channel Allen and Heath Mix Wizard 3, and BSS Opal FCS966 dual 31 band graphic equaliser.

The existing Celestion loudspeakers were retained, though one required a fresh diaphragm. These were then driven by an Electro-Voice CP1800 power amplifier mounted in a lockable steel wall rack. Also housed in this rack was a Signet PDA 1000 Loop Induction amplifier, driven from Aux 1.

We also added two DMX sockets at the back of hall both sides.
